  1. Finally got my swimbait storage box!!
  2. In. Super Awesome man!!! Very thoughtful of you to do such a nice thing for the SU community!!
  3. 10 min. I'm not much of a waiter ora procrastinator. If somebody wants it that bad they should of responded a.s.a.p.
  4. I'm half tempted,,,but man them 253s cast really nice too and hard to part with. Such an under rated reel imo. Good luck I'm sure somebody has a stash of them too they could part with one for one of yours. Are any of them greenies in mint condition inside and out?
  5. Lick it before you put it in!!! Hahaha works for most things as well
  6. Ziplock too,,,dont go cheap get the double sealed ones.
  7. Been using a gallon trash bag fits fine and you can get 30 super for super cheap too!!
  8. Brecknel with glow in the dark fish lip gripper added on it.
  9. Let's break it down for everybody. Rod rated up to 25oz right. What a beef stick I'm sure. To be able to cast 6 oz the rod has to have some kind of soft tip or parabolic action to it. So it has a soft thin tip and a meaty base on it. Nobody wants to flip a bass under 5lbs- doesnt look cool an the WOW factor isn't there,,,I agree. Now let's say you think it's a 6lbr yeah? Guess what your deliberately putting lil bit less than 100oz right smack dab on the rod tip of the rod with the rod in the straight up position. And that's on the thinist softest most delicate part of the rod. Might work a few times- might not too. Think about how many oz a 10lbr weighs- eventually somethings gonna give.
  10. You "work" the bait your throwing with the rod tip flex and use the butt of the rod to "horse" the bass in.
  11. NEVER EVER grab a rod by the connection part anytime while its loaded or any other place other than the gripping area. The butt oa a rod has the power and the tip has the flex. Even handling slightly above the handle while fighting the fish changes the whole rod rating. People do it- sure,,,,and rods break on them sometimes because of it.
  12. I'm after catching the biggest bass possible on any gear and swimbaits being one of them. Now that being said I also dont live in a state where the state record largemouth bass is barely considered a DD. Sorry man and too anybody else who feels like they have to be macho enough to say they swimbait fish only to feel big about themselves. If you only like throwing swimbaits only -kudos to you. Your losing out and if your ok with that GREAT!!! Im after catching big ones and having fun doing it any how. And you know what - i also like just throwing a swimbait for kicks and to maybe even catch the state record here or their because in the southern waters we have massive bass that well exceed the 10,11,12 13,14 so on and so on mark of being said. I hardly fish anymore cause of the limited time I have now days. I have also just bought baits to try when i go and sometimes they dont make it to the water before the season rolls around and make there way to the black market as well. But i am blessed cause there is two lakes less than 10 min from where I live where DDs are truly massive in the upper teens (and I've caught some even) So to each there own on what they do with such said baits. And no I wont post hardly any catches on here cause it just floods the waters here with more wknd anglers.
  13. I have noticed different glides as well with the year models. The second to the last gen negs glide the best that I like- slow and straight I had a blue steel that I should have never gotten rid of and it had a very slow sink very straight side to side glide that the others never had. The last gen has a different tail (more harder material), and a thicker profile, and the gill area was not as a much a pronounced widely hand carved looking- it glides ok to me just not the same. It has a more angled glide which I dont care for. I had the 3rd to the last gen as well. It is a much slimmer profilead sharper angled cuts on the joints and to me it sank quicker and turned sharper than the other two- seamed to be too fast for my liking. My opinion only here but like you said- they all swim different.
  14. Cant believed this is still here,,, Good Price!!
  15. I had a buddy YEARS ago who had a cousin who was a enourmous guy and large in stature. He flipped somebody off as he was pulling into a furs parking lot. Back then the long hair was in style too lol. He parked the car and turned up the radio and jammed out some music. The guy he flicked off snuck up behind him and grabbed him by his pony tail through the car window and whale laid the guy with a crescent wrench until HE was tired or done. I felt so bad hearing about it. But then again karmas a b#### sometimes.
  16. Maybe I'm over thinking this but heres my take. Alot of people would say they would of done things differently. Maybe they would- maybe they wouldn't." I" for one wont comment on either side for the reason of " big brother might be listening or reading this down the road" which might not be a good thing depending what your applying for or being reviewed for for instance. But the smartest ones arn't the ones who get caught doing anything thing wrong- even when they do. "I would of just left the lake" or make it look that way,,,, .
  17. I wanna buy it. My inbox isn't working so if you could can you please just put your phone number out here so I can call you to make payment.
  18. That's right now that I think about it. Sweet reel, good luck with the sale!!
  19. I thought the black sheeps were already black? Was it restripped down and reanodized?
  20. Daiwa Luna 253. Cheap, nice build quality and reliable. It's my number one workhorse chosen when just going out 99% of the time. I have many nicer reels than this but this is the one I always just levitate too.
