  1. Wow man just wow ... Selling anything ?
  2. Went out early and caught a couple fish first was a mini chunk... Second was a dink.. I'm fishing a new place where it seems many fish are very short and fat.. A lot of 5-6 pounders but short fat fish ... Anyways was fun before work Fish caught on shellcracker .. Slow slow slow waked and fish were eating it right in front of me not even aggressive like it was a snack... I always catch the smaller fish on this bait in open water or burning it or bumping .. Bigger fish eat it when it's slowly crawling .. Gonna try it tonight if my slammer comes in in time or at 3am tomorrow
  3. Wow impressive ... Extreme great find
  4. I think you've all convinced me I was wrong
  5. It's a floater/wake bait/crank bait
  6. Can u send pics of pats rat to 9547297495
  7. Nice fish .. Same place u caught the big boy ?
  8. Tried to edit post for mispellings and it said no so .. Sorry
  9. I want to hear this story about the strippers and the plugs Me too... Also killer looking bait men.. When I started reading I didn't expect to be seeing such a well put together bait ... Gotta be awesome to know it only costed you materials .. That's how I feel when I built and don't buy.... Props
  10. Okuma Citrix swimbait rod 7' 11 Abu revo winch 50lb power pro 20lb Fluro leader 8ft Hudd 68 weedless Black dog shellcracker G2 Va beach, Va Well I had been outta the game after u lost clots to a 8lb bass do to tackle failure on using straight braid . I also was fishing swimbaits with most my regular bass lure rods ... I purchased a okuma Citrix Swimbajt rod and I've been very pleased this far... Casts baits a mile .. Feel even the slightest ticks on a hudd.. But I can already tell I'll wanna get a LCD xh or xxh next ... It's clearly not my cal star custom blank bottom rods I use to stick 20lb muttons in the tortugas , so I know there's room for improvement .. Anyhow went to a pond that a friend of mine told me he has personally put 10lbers in. along with my VA PB being caught in the lake I've seen several signs of large fish around .. I.e. Fat short fish lots of bait .. Blue gills everywhere .. Bass eating gills ... Only problem was I only had about 30 min of fishing ... So I start targeting areas ... Nothing .. Guy comes and asks "do you fish here?" I'm holding a rod reeling ... "Yea" .... " you catch anything " yea ... " what?..... Bass" .... "Big ones?" ... Sometimes ... " wack!!!" Lil dink eats me and he gets to see first hand lol ... No big fish so I go to water I've never been but looked what I like to call "Fishy" ... Found a nice point from land with a nice drop off and fished it hard .. After about 20 casts... A baby pig ... Sigh I need a scale asap .... Hope to catch a few more tomorrow morning so you guys stop calling me nooobi lol
  11. Blackdog baits she'll cracker g2 ... It's a neat but effective little bait
  12. I mostly do a lofty cast from my right side and I do to have trouble with them helicoptering or distance .. My shell crackers are another story thought
  13. I'm not trying to be the new guy messing things up.if I appeared as such I apologize .... But I don't intend to be talked down to for trying to learn and asking questions under my own provoked thought Back to swimbait conversations I guess because where I come from Stripers ain't the a predator ... Where I come from you can easily and I mean easily be fishing in waters that have several DDs and huge snake heads .. And then there's 10-30lb snook and 10-130lb tarpon .. And I asked because it's a serious issue to me to be throwing a 100-200 lure that a tarpon or snook is going to spool you on ...
  14. Why do you make forums then insult people who come to you for help? I said not round because I didn't want any mention to low profile reels... Also pls don't misjudge my asking your opinions or insight to mean I have no knowledge of my own... I will admit swimbait fishing for bass is a new hobby of by but big bait fishing for big fish is certainly not... Thankyou for the the informative words though... I can see the reasoning.... Some of you act like kings because u catch bass... We are all supposed to learn from one another to make us all better... and fine but the TRU MOTION LURE HAD to be a swimbait
  15. I begged grandma .. She fished.. She ordered em for me .. Then walmart started selling em and it was over ... I actually would use them today without issue if they were still able to be found .. The new ones I'm not nearly as fond of Only two tv lures that caught fish were these two Duds... Helicopter lure ,, flying lure
  16. That's not the responses I was looking for tho ...
  17. I've always liked 300yds or better on any reel I fish wether I'm an balling yellow tails in the keys ... Or pitching a jig for bass... My question is how is the line capacity regarding these lures we cast in 20-25lb mono on the NOT ROUND reels .. I have braid on all my swimbait rods for this reason... But I see so many of you with only mono I ask how your guys are fairing with it on the smaller reels like lexa 300 or revo winch .. Or even curado's ... Is 120-150yards of line on the reel enough for you guys because that's what I estimate a reel that's supped to get 120 of 20
  18. Well when I go back home to Florida in July .... I know I will FEEL like I have a better chance ...
  19. Glad you got one bro.. I need to get a fish on me 68 weedless.. ï¸I'll hopefully get a chance to do that this week
  20. Those are very nice ... Only thing and just my 02 I catch more big bass on smaller sized gill baits .. And I grew up using blue gill to catch big Florida bass ... And I learned to use the med large and not the large .. The large ones never caught bass but were best for snook and tarpon .. But you guys lakes have no snook and tarpon so
  21. Take your time ... In my experience what matters more than baits or rods or reels is knowledge .. Search and read and learn... The bait you have is enough to do major work ... And reading what others have already answered and asked is a great start
  22. Looks good.. Do you feel confident with the one hook ?
  23. What color would you say the best to use for day and night ?
