  1. losing the mag had me dead. I've done that before though so I cant laugh too much.
  2. In short yes, the 806 is definitely over rated while LDC seems to be more true to rating. If you want to stay around 8 foot then LDC xh is def the way to go. If you can handle 6 more inches then get an 867 dobyns (considering the replacement policy). Both rods are considered to be the top of the market so dont worry about quality .
  3. weedless baits that are small like a rising son I think are better thrown on braid to leader because you get the sensitivity factor but more importantly you get a consistently better hook set with braid. This being said ive had a multitude of issues with braid to leader with baits over 4-5 oz. idk why but I practically pop all of my leader knots when throwing big big baits. but for the baits you've mentioned I think braid is the move.
  4. I think its important to look at both sides, and the fact that this man essentially stalked this man is questionable at best. That being said mattson as well as others have recently confirmed much of what was said in the article on their instagram. I think its safe to say (IMO) that he lived up to the 9 pages of horrific acts. Also huge shoutout to airrus rods for donating his remaining signature rods super cool way to deal with the whole ordeal.
  5. Someone just posted a 301 tranx in BM.
  6. Ive got to move a couple baits to buy a new laptop. Im mainly interested in cash but feel free to shoot me a trade offer. If you have any questions regarding the condition, or pricing, of baits please send me a PM. All prices are TYD OG Flash carp 250 CONVERSION - $180 Wadehog - $90 Gancraft- $75 Lot- $310
  7. My PB, and the fish in my profile picture, was caught using a lexa 300 with a deps 250. So I feel pretty confident in the reels.

God you guys blow my mind, you kill it all the time!
  9. Ones made of foam the other is made of plastic, also the new models seem to always show a bar going down the side of the bait while the OG's don't have that. Easiest way to tell is to look at the joint, you'll see clear ABS plastic instead of white-ish foam.
  10. There is a flash carp sk 250 in good condition on the BM rn. id check it out.
  11. yeah, its alot easier to work that bait with a 6:3:1
  12. Haven't thrown a floating bullshooter so I cant comment, but I would imagine you could do pretty well on one.
  13. All i can say is last time i ordered a punker on TW, it sat sidways.
  14. For me, the 806 is the best rod I've found for treble hook baits. The way it loads up is amazing, when you lean into a fish you can tell that its soft enough not to pull the hook but has enough power to control the fish as well.
  15. day in day out its a deps bullshooter for me. Would be a pizz beast gill, but the bait is just too heavy I lose every fish I hook on it.
  16. I only use one treble hook for swimmers, an Owner St-36
  17. One thing to consider is how a treble hook fits on a bait while swimming. Something we don't realize is that treble hooks don't hang straight down like they do when a bait is out of the water. With lighter treble hooks (like a st-36) the treble hook pushes up against the bottom of the bait when you retrieve it. As a result, there is really one treble hook point sticking out throughout the entire retrieval of the bait. This is particularly the case when I fish a 250, I've noticed that the same hook points seem to stick fish consistently and I think this has to do with how the hooks position on the bait. Considering this, I would argue that the hookup ratios are probably pretty similar.
