    I too am torn on this. Is the 795 powerfull enough for hudd 68s and 6-7 inch jig hook baits with mono? Is it enough for weedless hudds? Does the 806 fury leave casting distance on the table with the 2 to 3 oz baits?

    Do any of you guys dress your trebles on rat baits. I tie flys and could see how putting some sort of fluffy feathers or some bucktail on the bell ttrebles on a rat could help hide them and add some realism. Do you think it would change the action at all? I love throwing my G2 shellcracker as well and noticed another popular bait the gantrel has dressed hooks. Does it make a difference on these style baits?

    Thanks for the inspiration man. I left work, bought my first rat, savage gear 7.5. Went out and caught two bass. Have five total strikes, three tail grabbers, landed two . Quick question, do you dress all your rat bait trebles ? I tie flies and was thinking of putting some white marabou on the bottom hook to give it some action at super slow speed as well as hiding the hook.
