    MA, RI, and CT have had a few people die from the mosquito born illness EEE in the last couple weeks. There is no cure and no vaccine for EEE. I love the fall night bite but i'm waiting it out- it's not worth it. Kids sporting events are being cancelled and rescheduled in the evening due to the mosquitoes. Cover up, wear deet, or wait for the 1st frost! Fish Safe.

    My brother has almost hit me several times with a cast while fishing at night in a separate kayak. It may not even be a hook, it could be a rod tip across the brow when he swings for the Green Monstah trying to set the hook next to me in the canoe. Always wear a PFD, and always wear glasses kids! It's not worth your eye.... unless it's a state record!!! haha!!

    same here. i always wear sunglasses, and clear shooting glasses when fishing at night.
