  1. I hardly ever post, however I fish mostly top water and love crawler baits. Pompadour is straight up hard to beat. Runs great out of the box and is pretty tough and easy to tune if it gets out of whack.

I even staring making my own when I first saw a Battlewing and heard they had problems staying in tune. All that seems to be way better with the Battlewing II (which I own several). Too many baits never enough time.

I like them to sound like a rusty hay bawler coming across the water. Lots of mechanical noise seems to work good for me. I'm looking forward to Mega Pompadour.

Not all crawler baits are the same just like any other style of bait.  However I have seen many times the bass wouldn't touch any top water and go down the same stretch with a crawler bait and it wakes them up. My all time best color is solid chartreuse without a doubt.

  2. If you are going to do multiple pours (production) you are going to HAVE to degas in order to have any consistency in your baits.

Especially if you are mixing in balloons. Every time you mix you add air and it's the number one cause of pin holes.

Pin holes are evil and must be eliminated.

  3. So much speculation, and just over a couple really vague instagram posts. I wouldn't have expected anything less from this group :)

That said, I hope the store is a success and that I get to visit one day.

Speculation all based on history of ish that has happened in the past. Sorta tough to argue about facts.

I'm curious of what flavor kool-aid they will serve?

Also will knee pads be available or should the "sports" bring their own?

  4. I emailed him a few times.

    Same here.

I just hope he is busy and for some reason has not seen my emails or maybe they are going to his "junk" box.

I ordered a couple back in May and never got confirmation after I sent the requested info.

Looks like a nice shad glide and certainly have no worries on the wait because he didn't

    request payment up front.

Plus I'm not in a bind for baits, just looking to try something different.

  5. I asked mickey about this, making a floating fs gill into a xss/ss. He replied that it wouldnt swim right and id be better off lightening up a ss than trying to make that floater a sinker... Havent tried it out yet tho

That is not true at all. I have converted floater FS's and they swam just fine. Just gotta know were to put the weight. His baits are injected with different density resin in order to get his to sink rate. You would have to literally carve away the bait to make it lighter to SF.

  6. Hinkles have no consistency from batch to batch. I had at one time 4 of them and none of them where the same except they were all full of pin holes.

There are hundreds of baits that will catch fish just as good as a Hinkle Shad and readily available with zero wait.

I have to agree with the positive post about Matt Lures. The guy takes care of his customers and actually follows up without being shamed into a reply.

  7. See what you all don't understand is I didn't start selling baits to show everybody how much money I can make or pound my chest to show how great I am.

Not sure about the money part, however your actions sorta prove ya wrong on the chest poundin' part.
