  1. I have been fishing Rago's since before most of you have been swim baiting. Never had a problem, Some times it takes a while to get something that is in demand and sometimes there are not enough to go around but you get what you pay for. You want to bag on Gerry or Danny, whatever. Stand in line for your 3:16's, any idea who taught him to do baits? Not a clue huh.
  2. There was a time when they went for $250.00 - $300.00. I am surprised they are so cheap now. I have caught plenty of fish on mine. I have both light and dark bass, smallmouth and one I had painted trout. I fish them slow with twitches and get plenty of fish on them, they are not all the different from the baby wake.
  3. Pretty sure you will be able to get Nate's baits there.
  4. The hypocrisy in this thread is amazing. So nobody here uses knocked off baits? Darn near every plastic bait has been knocked off, how many knocked off seiko's, sweet beavers and punch skirts are there on the market? but nobody uses anything but the originals. Big bait companies been doing it for years. Also I find it hard to believe that any time a new variation of a bait is made its patent protected. I totally agree that molding someone else bait and then selling it as an original is not cool but lets be real about this. Lets take the seiko for example, damn near everybody has a seiko bait not called a seiko. I remember a guy getting banned before I joined the site over an issue on types of hinges on swim baits and his opinion. Funny that bait maker is now using screw eyes for his glide baits after claiming he had a brilliant revelation off of a door hinge that was done decades before he ever started making baits. My point is most here who are ready to form a lynch mob have bought knock offs or are busy trying to tongue punch the bait making dirt star to gain favor.

  6. I had one guy do it to me on the Delta and another on Casitas before I left Cali. Ross England did not fish in front of me on CL until I asked him to join me. Rod Thigpen did not fish in front of me on Casitas. The 2 times it happened I was frustrated and did not feel like I had a guide but rather got the backseat. One of the guys is recommended here for the Delta But I will not say who, he is a great guy and I do not feel its appropriate. Just saying it happened and I know others who its happened to as well.
  7. Many guides will fish in front of you all day long. If this bothers you like it does me you may want to look into it.
  8. I think the only thing that determines where the fish gets hooked depends on the fish in relation to the bait when you set the hook and where the hook is on the bait. I opt for the reel down and apply max pressure on hook set with swimbaits. I sweep to the side always and keep my tip down and pressure on. I always figured when I set high I was encouraging the fish to come up and head shake. I use this method when fishing any type of lure. I try to stay forward on the deck so I can take a couple steps back when setting to really drive the hook home.
  9. Yes it is an Argonaut 15". I looked on their site and it looks like the 17", prices are way up there, I suggest looking for used.
  10. Hummingbird 1197 on bow and 997 in dash. I will have to look to see the name of the monitor later.
  11. It is worth it. I have a 11" on the bow and a 9" in my dash that is hooked up to a 15" monitor mirroring it. People ask all the time where I got my 15", I got it used on eBay and it works great but would have been about $1300.00 new. I reworked the bow and the dash so all would flush mount. It was a lot of work but worth it.
  12. Thanks I sent one through their website @ 5:30 and then one to the other address a bit later. I also found him on IG, guess I do instagram now.
  13. So is the e mail in the picture the one we use rather than the other one?
  14. Sounds great but what is the e mail you send the request to?
  15. I picked up 2, posted here and went back to his site and they were gone. Missed the 9.5's though.
