Very Thankful I read this Post today. I was looking at purchasing a deluxe gill from 30 acre. Honestly after reading this thread I'm questioning my judgement based purely on what all has been said. I don't own either of these baits but I do look for quality and honesty. Now I guess I'm looking at other options and wanting some input on which bait is best suited for catching fish in an area where bluegill and shad are main sources of forage. If any one has input I would appreciate the advice as well as where I can find a bait available for purchase that's not going to be a three month wait for something that doesn't work.

Best rod length and action for top water (rats)
IndyBassFishing replied to jiggerjake's topic in The Underground
I have a Phenix ultra swimbait classic 7'11 mh seems to do well with topwater rats. It handles other non rat baits as well. -
Great information and opinions here. So much to learn in one thread amazing! Thanks SU

Thanks nickh87 for the link and the heads up. Only the chartreuse left but Indiana stained water I think it will work. -
Thank you Lbennett 7 for the smooth transaction on the black market. He responded quickly to pm about my interest in a ss Bull Shad and 8inch wood punker.Everything was done through pay pal gift. He shipped baits the same day that I made payment with tracking numbers. I would gladly do business again with Lbennett 7. Thanks SU, INDYBASSFISHING

New here as well. Welcome! I have already gained a mass of information and knowledge here on SU. Black market is great if you know what you're looking for and who you are dealing with. Hope you enjoy SU as much as I have.

Thanks for the heads up on TW having roman made baits available. I was able to score on TW before they sold out. $109.99 great price for the negotiator and lipless trick.

I have purchased from him multiple times. Legit. Fast shipping considering international.

I use to think that a 6in shadalicious plastic swimbait was a big bait for my state of Indiana. Now that I've stepped out of the comfort zone of conventional baits and started throwing bigger I'm not sure where you would draw the line. Considering you have the right equipment, is there really any bait to big? I have had bass under 10 or 12 inches strike at 8 to 9 inch baits. I've also caught a bluegill on a spro bbz1! Who will determine the size limit? I say the fish will try to eat anything given the chance.

I'm stoked that Mr.Pat himself replied! Thank you sir. I would love to acquire just one of your legendary baits someday. I started this thread never expecting such a huge response. Just a new swimbait enthusiast excited to learn and experiment with the great baits being manufactured behind the scene. SU Is too cool. Never new what I was missing. -

Good advice. Thanks for your feedback and input. So then pats are not in production or made anymore and hard to locate? -

Thanks for the good description of the slammer and the difference in buoyancy with each individual bait. I will take the advice and purchase more than one for sure. thank you
