  1. Stripers and glides go very well together Great looking bait!
  2. Solid day of fishing!
  3. It's been a while since I have been able to get out on the kayak. I finally got some free time and hit the water with my brother. It was a pretty slow day, with only a few dinks around noon. Towards the end of our trip, I finally got this chunk to bite my Bravo glide. As with most of my other glide fish, she hit after I gave two quick cranks of the reel handle.
  4. Whoa she's about to pop! Haha well done!!!
  5. I've done that many times as well! I have also found that a little bit of gold/copper under transparent pink can look really good! I typically use silver base, light-medium layer of gold/copper, and then light transparent pink.
  6. Great job! For the hinkle, I would personally go lighter on the pink for the gill plate. Allowing more silver to shine through really adds more depth/realism in my opinion. That gill looks pretty sweet the way it is!
  7. Last year was the first time that I spent a good amount of time throwing glides. I caught my first solid glide bait striper when I was messing around with the bait. The fish hit so unexpectedly and with so much force that I was immediately hooked on glides. I continued to chuck my glides throughout the year and caught quite a few largies, spots, and smaller stripers. I lost a few more solid stripers, got my hooks bent out, and had a big one break me off. I kept bombing cast after cast until I finally got this biggun to smash my Bravo. Fighting the fish from my yak was quite the ride! The fish pulled my yak back and forth and continually stripped drag! My brother and I (yes, it was a team effort) were finally able to heave the fish to shore and got a quick measurement. She came in at 20lbs and was the biggest fish that I had ever caught! I know plenty of guys out there catch stripers much bigger than this, but I was still completely shocked by the size of the fish! I revived her and let her swim off. Needless to say, the glide is now one of my confidence baits. Hopefully I'll have another chance at an even bigger striper soon!
  8. One of my favorite fish to target! Such ferocious hits!
  9. Well done! Thats a good one!
  10. What a beast! Im dying to get onto some more big striper. They hit like a ton of bricks!
  11. What a fish! Congratulations on the catch!
  12. Glides are definitely my go-to when I'm looking to get hard bites. I've had 1.5lbers absolutely smash my glides even though the bait is half their size! Having a versatile glide also helps when the fish want a more erratic, jerkbait kind of retrieve! Glides have definitely become my confidence bait even though I've only been fishing them for less than a year!
  13. Whoa! That's a beast of a crappie!
