  1. If it's the tournament ZX rod I would stay away. The first one I had lasted me about 3 months then the butt cap fell off and exposed the blank, which annoyed me so I took it in and exchanged it (Cabelas is very good about that btw). The second one lasted about 20 casts before the same thing happened, and 3 casts after that the eye of one of the guides fell out so I returned it for my money back and bought a dobyns fury 795 for the same price. It felt great throwing an a rig but the quality is seriously lacking.
  2. I bought mine a couple months ago to replace a POS cabelas swimbait rod. It's been great for me! Seems like it's a little more parabolic then the other rod I had but throws whatever you want a long ways and has good sensitivity. Can't beat it for the price if you ask me.
  3. I was at this seminar and what you can't really see in the video was all of the fish that were absolutely crushing his lures!! He was the only one out of any seminar that day that could get bit. Matt is a badass fisherman and a hell of a nice guy to boot!
  4. Its Scott's flat lake. Private lake above grass valley, that usually has a lot of boaters on it.
  5. Hey guys, I think I'm gonna take my boat out for the first time in a couple months. The lake has mainly smallmouth and some decent largemouth bass in it, it's somewhat deep and not a whole lot of cover. Do you guys have any tips for me? Was planning on fishing a hudd, BBZ 6" or 8", or a savage gear line through. Lots of trout and some bluegill in the lake, and it should be pretty hot and sunny, my guess is water temp in the high 70's to mid 80's. Any advice would be much appreciated guys, and thank you!!

    Rollins lake?

Hey, this is my first post on SU! I live in Truckee, California and just bought my first bass boat, the closest lake for me to fish is Rollins lake right next to Colfax, California. My question is has anyone fished Rollins this time of year? Headed there tomorrow and am going to try to throw a 8" BBZ and a Huddleston. Any tips or advice would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!
