  2. Fishing the rat the last 2 days. Rat bite heating up and have a night tourney Friday. So hoping that it goes off on Friday night and can put together a big ol bag!
  3. Yeah figured it could do some serious damage. Still some things to work out but it’s coming along!
  4. Top hook frog. So it can be fished on top of grass, pads and such without picking up junk.
  5. Well have had this idea for some time and finally got my ass in motion and started. Still have to finish carving the details and such. But have 3 prototypes I’m working with on weight and leg placement to achieve what I’m looking for. Made some good progress this week so I figured I’d share. trying to get it done by the end of month and than go from there on putting them out there. I’m sure some of you delta and Florida guys could do some serious damage with this bad boy! Thanks for looking Blunt Customs IMG_3276.MOV
  6. You’ll get it. But as you said, so little room to work with. Little time and I’m sure you’ll have it moving properly and sticking fish. Had to take out my blank to look at it again and wonder what if.......hahahaha
  7. Nice looking body. I did a small one a few years back and it was such a pain to pour and balance. Still have the master but every time I see it I just shake my head and hide it in the pile. Lol Good luck man!!
  8. Put a few Rato’s up on my Instagram. If anyone is interested. Hit me up at bluntcustoms@gmail.com thank you underground. And keep grinding grass roots! IMG_2917.MP4
  9. Hopefully be hanging in a fat green ones mouth soon. Should be a kool pic too!
  10. Thanks. Gonna try and get her wet this week!
  11. I did a camo pattern for a friend of mine and was thinking it would be kool to do an urban camo. So I did! I kinda dig it.
  12. Yeah man. Love the table set up. Use to have my shop vac hose strapped to where I sand so it would suck it all up as I go. But so noisy that it limited my hours of work. Wife don’t like getting woke up at 6am and I would imagine neighbors don’t like it either. I’ve always wanted to build a box type set up for vac with hose coming out to something like this so it lowers the noise levels while cleaning up mess at the same time. Right now just sanding on to silicon sheet and using handheld vac to suck it up as I go. But you’ve got me thinking I need to tinker and get back to my original idea. My garage was so much cleaner when my shop vac was running.
  13. Busy working on everything. Last few days spent time balancing the glide version of the new trout. Took one out wed to test at lake. Had tons of followers and a wolf pack of 6 or 7 at one point. Went out today with it for 2nd time and stuck a 3lber. Again tons of followers and the 1 bite! Molded the masters today. Will be trying to get a batch done here soon.
  14. Well one of the reasons I switched over was the ability to have floating material. The alumisol with hardener sinks so I wanted to try it out floating plastic on my new builds. Very happy with it. I have also used alumisol hardener with dead on plastisol. Worked fine.
  15. I use dead on plastics. Just changed over from alumisol. For tails I use hardener also to achieve the desired stiffness. Manufactures of plastisol will make also make hardener for their product. Check out dead on plastix, smooth on and alumilite to see which you would like to play with. I use alumilite mold material to make molds. But plenty of different mold material you can use. I use what’s readily available to me so I don’t have to wait for shipments of material.
  16. Rats are gonna be getting some serious time on the water. Trout I’ve been working on. 3 and 4 piece. Have a few prototypes I’ve been fishing a bit.
  17. Some final prototypes of the rat. Painted, cleared and swam test. I prefer the swim of the square bill. But it only matters what the fat green girls think. So now to see which produces best.
  18. Depends on the wood you want. There was a guy on eBay that I use to get blocks of basswood from. Various sizes and such. Bought a bunch a few years back for carving my masters. Still got a few left.
  19. Working on all the toys this week.
