  1. Whole life in Louisiana, Saints all the way
  2. That's really cool, it's gonna be awesome when it catches a fish
  3. I've got a white label 7'9" MH that I love, works perfect for 68's, trash fish and negotiator, stuff in the <4oz range is perfect. I also have 8'6" xxh that I'm using for the beast glide and battles trout stuff like that. Hadn't put in a bunch of time with it yet so I don't have much info other than it handles the 9oz baits just fine
  4. Heck yea, those are some healthy fish
  5. That's a seriously cool dude, glad you won and with a DD too
  6. That is no doubt a chunk
  7. Check out the bait wraps in the SU store or on the MOAM sticks website
  8. That's a cool looking bait and apparently it works
  9. Awesome fish catch considering the conditions and props for kicking against the wind in 44 degree water
  10. Those are so awesome and all I have is one humble conservative 7" all white slammer. My collection will surely grow and diversify
  11. It's cool to see that come together from start to finish, I like the colors and the little accent on the tails
  12. If having a shorter and storable rod is the goal there's a company called Sakura that makes 7'4" 2 piece rods in the heavy-xheavy range I got one on eBay and it has a decently long handle that makes casting easy and they aren't too expensive $150ish if I remember right. They aren't the perfect choice but they are convenient. I believe it's the Sakura Sportism Neo in 7'4"XH
  13. That's pretty cool. Looks like a channel, believe it or not the 2nd fish I ever caught on 7" slammer was a 14" blue cat
  14. Gotta give a shoutout for Neurosis, mastodon, pelican, mouth of the architect, yob, isis, baroness, pantera, Russian circles and gojira
  15. I've got one of those in a finesse version
  16. I've never seen it on TW but if you can find it in a color called Arari it's really good. It's got flashy scales, red fins and a chartreuse highlight on the throat. It throws a lot of flash on a sunny day. Party crasher is another good basic color
  17. My first time was throwing a Buckley colored osprey tournament talon line through on Toledo Bend. I had no idea what I was doing and I saw a treble hook came with the bait so I thought treble hook=cranking rod. I set it up on a 7'2" medium heavy moderate crucial cranking rod with 15lb seaguar. I brought that set up with me and after a slow morning I decided "what the hell, it looks cool so I'll throw it" after a few casts I caught a 2.5 then later caught a 4+ on it but what got me hooked was I watched multiple 5-6+lb fish follow it all the way to the boat and eat it. I'd set the hook and play them for a couple seconds then they would come off because I was using such a soft rod. A few years and $1000's later I'm still throwing swimbaits and I still have the original Buckley osprey
