  1. Looks killer. I’m curious, does it only get lead in the belly like in your drawing or is that just the starting point?
  2. Split the bait yesterday and got the hardware installed. Gotta sand the joints then pour the lead and seal the wood.
  3. For wind I use Ventusky. Seems to work pretty good for me as far as getting an idea of speed and direction for the day.
  4. Just finished this one up, gonna take it for a test spin tomorrow. 3 pc wake made of poplar wood 7” body / 8” with tail (Toxic Trucha) 5.11 oz Dead Meat customs eyes Stainless hardware True Coat epoxy with a little bit of glitter mixed in
  5. I guess. Might just be a learning curve with the different epoxy as I was saying I never had any issues with the BSI 30 min slow cure. I was just seeing if anybody else had a similar experience.
  6. Maybe I worded it wrong? I dunno, it’s the typical rotisserie motor setup.
  7. I recently purchased some True Coat Epoxy and I’ve been having some mixed results. It seems to be a little more finicky than the BSI 30 min slow cure I had been using prior. I’m hanging the baits from a spinner and still developing some runs. On the other end, it seems to have the tendency to thin on any carved areas. I’m pretty familiar with using a brush so I don’t believe it’s from me over loading a brush or going too heavy on the application. I do divide the suggested amount in equal parts from what he lists as that’s way too much and ends up just being waste. Anybody else having any issues or have any tips to offer up?
  8. That gives a whole new meaning to a bait having mojo. Send it
  9. Doom Rat skunk for sale (bottom bait) 5.5” poplar wood body / 10” with tail ~3.5 oz Owner ST-36 size 1 hooks 65lb SPRO split rings Stainless hardware True Coat epoxy finish Dead Meat Customs eyes Mainly a wake with a subtle wood knock, but it will crank down a foot or so on a long cast with a couple quick reel turns to get it under. Great walk/slosh/dead stick action I can take more pics upon request. 90 dollars shipped via PayPal friends and family. Add the 4% if you need to do it goods and services.
  10. Just finished up this pair, one being for a coworker. Was gonna throw the other one towards the swap but since we’ve got till the end of May I’ll just build a couple more and document the process along the way. Made of Poplar wood 5.5” body / 10” with tail ~3.5 oz
  11. Yeah. It needs to be activated before you use it. Once you do, I think it has a 48 hour usage window. Someone on here said to put it in the freezer to extend the lifespan which I’ve done and didn’t seem to have any issues spraying a couple more baits over a couple weeks. The ideal scenario would be to have multiple baits ready for clear before using though. I’ve been using the Createx Wicked line of paints for my baits with good results.
  12. If you don’t want to build a bait spinner, Spray max 2k for the clear. Good stuff.
