Mines all sealed up and ready for paint. Gonna be taking care of that when I get back from vacation. How does the swap actually go down?

Looks killer. I’m curious, does it only get lead in the belly like in your drawing or is that just the starting point?

Split the bait yesterday and got the hardware installed. Gotta sand the joints then pour the lead and seal the wood.

What do you use for wind/rain forecasts?
Doomlurker replied to aphaneuf16's topic in The Underground
For wind I use Ventusky. Seems to work pretty good for me as far as getting an idea of speed and direction for the day. -
Just finished this one up, gonna take it for a test spin tomorrow. 3 pc wake made of poplar wood 7” body / 8” with tail (Toxic Trucha) 5.11 oz Dead Meat customs eyes Stainless hardware True Coat epoxy with a little bit of glitter mixed in
-
I guess. Might just be a learning curve with the different epoxy as I was saying I never had any issues with the BSI 30 min slow cure. I was just seeing if anybody else had a similar experience.
-
Maybe I worded it wrong? I dunno, it’s the typical rotisserie motor setup.
-
I recently purchased some True Coat Epoxy and I’ve been having some mixed results. It seems to be a little more finicky than the BSI 30 min slow cure I had been using prior. I’m hanging the baits from a spinner and still developing some runs. On the other end, it seems to have the tendency to thin on any carved areas. I’m pretty familiar with using a brush so I don’t believe it’s from me over loading a brush or going too heavy on the application. I do divide the suggested amount in equal parts from what he lists as that’s way too much and ends up just being waste. Anybody else having any issues or have any tips to offer up?

That gives a whole new meaning to a bait having mojo. Send it
