  1. Yeah, typically you can find things at least from somewhere. But most olaces are Backordered on most curados, tranx, and the IMX pro swimbait has been out of stock for ages
  2. Shimano has been out of EVERYTHING
  3. Long story short, ended up with 2 401a’s. Would prefer to trade for a 401HG. I would also be possibly interested in a 400, 400HG, 301a/hg, or 300a/hg. I’m preferably lefty reel but can use either pretty comfortably, it may also be nice to have a righty reel for other guys to use. 9.5/10 cosmetic, 10/10 mechanically. I expect the same in a trade, or cash can be added on either side. Can also use cash to even out a trade for a 300 sized tranx. Only noticeable blemish is on the side-plate towards the top, it is less noticeable in person.
  4. This thing looks sweet... any experience with it?
  5. Interested to see the people “leading” the riots one they track them all down- sounds like Antifa may have been stirring them up similarly to some of the BLM protests
  6. Hunting, flytying, backpacking, hiking, camping, shooting, canoeing, dirtbiking.... wayyyy too many hobbies.
  7. My beach is a flat near a creek channel and is some of the only shallow water on an otherwise deep lake with steep drops. Caught some really nice fish on the back edge where is drops into the creek channel
  8. In good used condition, has some scratches on the side plate and top as seen in photos. I have had no problems with the reel. 125$ Shipped Paypal f&f or add fees. Reel has been used but not abused. I try to wipe off my gear after use and store it with the drag loose. It is a little wet in the pictures, as I just rinsed it off- the reel has never been used in saltwater. If anyone wants more pictures let me know.
  9. As for why not swimbaits- nothing is mutually exclusive. I’ll take both some days, other days it’s only fly or only swims or only conventional. That being said, I get more joy catching fish on swimbaits than I do a spinning rod. The same can be said for fly tackle over baitcasting gear. Is it always the most effective? No. But it’s how I want to catch them if I can.
  10. These are all 10-12 inches, aside from the bottom two unfinished flies. Granted, these are musky flies. My standard bass flies are between 5-7”. As far as effectiveness goes- it isn’t. At least not typically, particularly on lakes. It’s just hard to cover the water you can with conventional tackle. In rivers however the control of your drift is pretty stellar, as is the secondary movement. I can pause my fly like a jerkbait, and let the current continue to give it motion without moving the fly from the strike zone.
  11. It’s all about materials. If you use the right ones- Bucktail, Synthetics, Hackles, ypu can make a 10”+ fly that is cast-able with a 9-10 wt.
  12. Nice Fish dude! I’m glad you got on them, I couldn’t get much going on up there.
  13. Is a 250 with stock hardware magnetic? I’d prefer to not have to swim for my lost bait, but will If I have to. Thanks SU
  14. I tie an open loop knot to my glides... best of both worlds.
  15. title says it all, I have lost a couple recently. Mostly looking for trout colors 8", but may consider 68s and baitfish colors. Shoot me what you've got.
  16. Not sure what you mean. If you hang them upside down by the tail it’s pretty straight.
  17. Nice! Good to see another Flats skiff style boat
