I haven't tested them against eachother but I think any material will add some drag so it all depends on the type and how much is used as well as what type of bait it's being used on and where that hook is positioned on the bait. Even materials that collapse easily like marabou can bulk up if to much is used. The length of the material also plays a role. My preference (i'm definitely not an expert) is to use a few types of materials (flash, marabou, hackle and bucktail) very similar to the way Manny Chee ties his in his video but I keep mine a little shorter and try to use very little material. The only baits I use two feathered trebles are some of my rats and a gantarel because it comes stock that way.

Had the baby wake out a few times but no luck. I'm glad I was able to have a chance to fish this! It leaves a nice wake and I like how it keeps swimming a little after killing the retrieve. I'll be in contact with @holstonangler to get it shipped out.

Traveling baby wake has arrived in southeast pa just in time for the holidays. I plan to get it wet tomorrow so I'm hoping for some traveling bait mojo during this months SUB.

Bait is on it's way to me and is estimated to be delivered this Saturday. I'll post a pic when it arrives.

Sorry not trying to hijack this thread cause the video is sick and definitely deserves it's attention but I can tie some feathered trebles for you if you're interested in some customs.

I'm the last name you mentioned so if any of the others can fish it they definitely have priority over me. It's also quite cold in PA now but I'll try it. I've never used a baby wake so if nothing else at least I'll get to see the action of the bait.

I tie my own very similarly to the way Manny Chee does in his video but I like to keep mine a little shorter. I don't have any ready to go right now but I could tie some for you if you're interested. That's a 175 in the photo for reference.

I tie a palomar knot for everything as well and sometimes add an extra overhand knot on the top to bring the tag end back towards the bait on more weedless applications like Jinxd12 mentioned in their comment. Cut and re-tie to whichever bait I'm switching to. Certain baits I do fish with a snap but that snap stays on that bait. To me I'm so used to cutting and re-tieing that it's almost the same amount of time it would take to undo the snap and clip onto another bait but that's just my opinion.
