  1. I honestly would not of thought of that, its got potential...do you have an example pic of one that you did that to? Zig, good info!...all useful tips & definitely helps with considering all the various aspects with putting things together to achieve desired results...another I want to put some dressed trebs on certain floaters/wakes that I will typically pause on the retrieve, to give it some of that natural motion...say like the maribou flaring out as mentioned when killing the bait...emulating the movement of the pectoral/pelvic fins like when you see pannies stop and those fins subtly move around etc...
  2. I'm sold!! When there is that kind of solid feedback from knowledgeable/experienced guys throwing those, no doubt they are as claimed and then some...I appreciate it fellas, even if my bank account won't lol
  3. that marabou combo sounds like a plan...especially where you mentioned it fluffs out on a pause, very very nice bonus right there!
  4. I'll ask this a different way...a buddy mentioned when he used feather dressed trebs on his glides, that he noticed it reduced the travel distance on them...I want to add that little bit of spice to some of my glides but wondering if I tied hair instead it would create less drag...in general, my thought is that hair would collapse more and feathers would stay more splayed = more drag...
  5. I'll give that one a look as well Austin, thanks!
  6. Does anyone have any experience testing which has less drag, hair vs feathered trebs? I'm looking at tying some using both but on certain baits, I want to minimize any potential negative drag impact....
  7. exactly what I wanted to hear Chris on those, will be adding some to the arsenal...
  8. Cool, I'll check those out and pick some up to try out... p.s not to sidetrack but for a bit on the higher end side, but are those Real Prey swimmers as solid as they sound/designed for painfully slow creep'n?
  9. I'm looking for some recommendations for bottom crawling soft swimmers in the 6-8" range that are very budget but have some tail kick/movement while slooooow rolling...That I can rig with beast hooks etc...I know you get what you pay for and not expecting any amazing anything but just some basic big baits that will work for my purposes... Reason being is that in certain areas and times the % of toothy fish is high and I want to lessen the risk/damage having my others torn apart (which is inevitable but don't want to fast track them)...but these are productive largie territory as well that hold some big fish...So I'd like some that are very reasonably priced that I'm basically okay with getting tore up and mended till I have to toss them... I have and collecting more mid to somewhat higher end ones that I throw in select spots that are less toothy infested and typically after I've located some quality largies already to minimizes my more spendy soft swimmers getting shredded etc... Appreciate it fellas!!
