  1. I still haven’t gotten shipping info, hopefully soon!
  2. “I gotta put my rod up” is the last thing I would be saying or doing, I’ve broke rods for a lot less I don’t kno the whole story, or why this was happening, but if two jackwagons in an aluminum Jon boat started ramming me just because they didn’t want me there, it might possibly be me, but someone would be getting a whoopin
  3. I hate to bump an old thread, especially over a comment I made that might have went unnoticed, but I did try the deep tracer on one of my s waver 200s, it did effect the action pretty bad, I couldn’t get a feel for fishing it, I didn’t try it on one of my better glides because I didn’t really kno how it would do hanging up, i did hand the s waver up a couple times. Being on a boat I was able to get it back, not saying its bad, I’m probably not adjusting my retrieve the way I need to, but for me it wasn’t the right way to go, I just couldn’t get a feel for it
  4. I just got in one of the deep tracers, I’m gonna try it out on one of my s wavers and see how it goes.
  5. Thanks a ton man! I seem to always prefer a snap, I can always get a better glide with a snap, I’ve tied direct to a few glides, but always got better on my deps 250 and hinkle Shad with a snap, but that mid size is where I’m lost
  6. Hey guys, I got my first negotiator in the mail today, it really is a beautiful work of art! I do have a few questions though, for one does the big hook go on front, and the small hook on back? I would make the assumption that’s how it goes but want to make sure, also I throw all my glides on a snap, other than the really little ones, I recently realized they don’t work to well on a snap, but what about this guy? I don’t kno if I have a bait that’s been meant to fish a certain way from the maker like this one other than the hph, which mine came with a split ring, so I’m curious does this need to be tied direct or does it benefit from a snap? I did do a search and found some guys saying tie direct,it was a pretty old post from about 6 years ago though, so any help is much appreciated!
  7. I missed it :/ I was working and just couldn’t get to my phone to order one
  8. I have one, I’ve never thrown heavier than 3 ounces on it, it’s not very smooth but good for the money, and holds a good amount of line
  9. Thanks for the responses guys! I am throwing it on prob 20 # test, so that may be the problem, I’m gonna try direct tying and one of my small 10 lb set ups and slow retrieve next time I get to go out
  10. Hey guys! Have any of y’all fished the small I Slide 135? I kno you have to manipulate smaller glides a bit, but I can’t seem to get it to swim at all, with small quick reel turns, jerks, nothing, I am throwing on a snap like I do larger glide baits, maybe I should try direct tying, maybe a split ring, I don’t kno, I just can’t get any glide motion back and fourth at all on it. Maybe light line? I have no clue, but any help would be much appreciated.
  11. As a new Swimbait angler, I’ve questioned the confidence thing, just for the fact I’ve caught big bass on live shad, big ol 10 and 12 inchers, but have only had one hit on my 6 inch bullshad, I’m so confident that bullshad will catch fish in this no trout lake, one day the water was a little murky so I decided to switch to a trout glide, just cause I thought the pink would stand out and bam, I get my first Swimbait fish, my confidence is up they will hit a big Swimbait for the record I was livebait fishing for Striper
  12. Guess I missed it, really just wanted to see one in real life, just gonna keep grinding, like I’ve begun to learn with Swimbait fishing, everything is a grind, even when it comes to actually getting the baits lol
  13. Ok guys, I appreciate all of y'alls opinions, I kno shad is the main forage in my lakes, that's what makes me want to get the hph, but the same time my first swimbait fish was on a dual ninja glider in an actual trout color, I've got the bullshads, so I think I'm gonna step it up from my original glide plan, I'm gonna keep an eye out for a 250 in the black market, if it don't work, and I don't like it , I learned along time ago as a mucisian, if you buy the top of the line stuff, you can get the money back if you don't like it , unless you lose it on the first cast
  14. Sorry guys, I have no how to reply to individual comments, and my rod is a okuma guide select, I think it's rated to 2-8 or 2-10, not really 100 percent sure which it is I would have to look, I hadn't read anything about having to work more for the hph and negotiator glide, thanks a ton for the info
  15. I guess I was leaning on the hph for the shad being the main baitfish, I've just never actually seen one in person, my thing I was reading through searching through this forum is I've seen a lot of guys who fish the deps 250, didn't like the 175, those why I kinda had went away from it, but you guys still speak highly of them, so maybe I need to wait and find a used one in that 50 dollar range and see what I think and then move on to the hph, the only glides I have is s wavers and a dual ninja twitching glide, so anything will probably seem like a good upgrade, thanks for all the help guys
  16. Hey guys, I'm a noob and I've been researching and I'm ready to buy a good glide, I'm looking to spend in the 150 up or down a little from that, but the ones I'm deciding between is the negotiator, 6 inch hph shad, and the slide swimmer 175, I'm leaning towards the 6 inch hph because shad seems to be the ticket around here but love the negotiator a lot, the 175 is lowest on the list, I kno the hphs are a little harder to come by and seem to be going closer to the 180-200 dollar range, considering bullshads are the most expensive bait I've bought this is a big step for me, and would like some of your opinions.
  17. I'm new to swimbaiting in general, this is my first year throwing them. I myself haven't had any luck on the slammer, I bought one, a 7 inch, in hitch I think(close to shad, I don't have trout), and part of my problem I think is confidence, I throw it a little while and then cut it off and tie on a bullshad, I don't kno if I'm putting it in the wrong spots, or the wrong times, I just can't get any action at all on one, I kno they are proven and I want to figure them out and get fish on it, I'm sure once I figure it out I'll get some studs on it, too many people catch to many quality fish on them, maybe the bass in Tennessee just don't want them LOL
  18. I guess I need to watch that again, in sure I missed plenty
  19. Sounds good to me then, thanks for the replies!
  20. I've got a question for you guys, Ive decided after watching several videos to try out snaps on my glide baits, and I can remember a long time ago stumbling across a video with someone saying never to use a snap with Bull Shads, and I'm just curious why not? Does it durastically alter the action of the bait, and should one make the assumption not to do this with any multi jointed baits? I can't think of any other reason not to other than it will mess up the action. This is my first post here, and I'll be appreciative of any advice from you guys!
  21. Great Guy to deal with! And my first dealing on SU, Shipped fast, with great Communication! Hope others are as easy to deal with as him
