  1. izor XXX for abrasion resistance and First String for softer easier casting. XXX is stiffer, if you backlash with first string it's a lot more forgivable line that wont be as weak as XXX after it backlashes and folds and creases only tried pline fluroclear and it was a giant mistake that made me promise to never buy Pline products again, such a garbage line how could a company sell such a trash product. Seems cxx has great reviews but im not touching any pline products ever. If you're scared of fluro because it has less stretch try Seaguar InvisX its very stretchy flurocarbon
  2. Anyone have any luck swaping out hooks to a light wire treble which would allow the hooks to float and ride up underneath the bait rather than hang down heavy like an anchor? I fish some really clear water and want to disguise my hooks a little more. I bought st-36's but they are not much lighter looking than the factory hooks on my 250. BB said he swaps out to s light wire gamakatsu 2/0 front 1/0 rear but I can't find a light wire treble in those sizes. The factory 250 hooks after a year of fishing it still feel sharper than the brand new st36. Do u guys change your hooks on the 250?
  3. i saw butch brown at the fred hall show in long beach this year and he had a wide glide bait just like that it must of been the same one, he said it hasn't come out yet and also a new color for the thumper tail
  4. lol, i've been throwing the 250 for almost a year and havnt had a bite since fry guarders last spawn. probably close to a hundred followers tho. My friend never fished a glide bait before goes out to San V last weekend and hooks into one on the 175 his 5th cast.

  6. There is nothing that compares to a good tool song, blows my mind every time I listen to them.
  7. i've been fishing saltwater for over a year on all my curado's and chronarchs and lexa 300 they all work perfect just rinse well after use with drag tightened down with lowest pressure possible you dont want to shoot water into places that didnt even get wet just rise everything that did get wet the whole reel.

    personal best

8# at the least, that fish has a belly forsure
  9. did it snap off? if you're snagged you need to invest in a lure retriever tackelwarehouse sell a Daiwa one for around 20 bucks i think, here's a video of how to use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxNbiT6KMc4 if it's snapped off at the bottom of the lake you cant really get it back unless you can see it. drag something on the bottom to hook it like a spoon or saltwater yoyo jig.
