  1. story of my life... bought a ring and got married instead of getting a 1 bed apartment and a bass boat... still wondering about which decision was the right one? LOL
  2. Perfect. Thank you for all the input. Got my paint scheme drawn out. Granted it's in colored pencil so blending is hard. Opinions appreciated!
  3. Also, anyone using resin for their production bait. Any particular company you are using and or type? Ive seen some guys use alumilite, other using epoxy resin
  4. ended up tossing this carving. i felt it was too wide. So I've cut it down 1/2" on width and restarted. Currently shaping the bait. pics will be posted soon.
  5. if anyone has any opinions or input on the following it would be greatly appreciated. I was planning on running #6 Owner Hyperwire split rings and Owner ST-36 1/0 Trebles (seems like it'd be a decent fit?) Also, where I plan on making the production bait out of resin, should I wait to do the weight distribution until I have finished mold and have a few resin templates to work with or do it on the wooden model first? Just looking for input on what people may have done in the past. if you dont care to give your input thats fine I completely understand. I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who puts their input on this thread!
  6. If you still have these Wednesday I'll probably take them!
  7. Drew up this 8" glide bait a few sleepless nights ago. Started roughing in the original to make a mold of. Here's the progress so far today. Gonna sand down tomorrow and seal for water testing. Had the joy of breaking my jigsaw today so it's hand carved so far.
  8. Awesome looking bait. Let me know if you ever decide to start selling. That perch would destroy em up here in Maine!
  9. Im interested in what part of the state you're catching those donkeys. My best on the coastal lakes (damariscotta, Seven Tree, 3 Mile, Weber, China, and a few ponds around the capital area) is 7-1. But other than that it's tough to break 5lbs... Hoping the hudds and S-waver bite is strong at ice out.
  10. I'd say it all depends how deep your fishing. 806 might have the extra backbone if your fishing 20+ with jig hook style bait. If i get the 806, there will be a DEPS SS 250 in my order as well.. lol The wife will hate that
  11. now that i've looked at 100's of thousands of dollar in swimbaits, I can go to bed happy.... although seeing these collections is making me feel the need to buy more baits! I can fit all my swimbaits in one plano. although only been in the game about 6 months. Killer collections guys.
  12. I'm up in Maine. Mostly throwing hudds and glide baits
  13. I'll definitely be picking one up over the summer to go with my 795 fury
  14. I just picked up 4 of these 2 in rof5 and 2 in rof12. Going to keep one of each and send one of each out for custom paint job.
