Hardest fighting freshwater fish pound for pound, no doubt in my mind. Surprisingly, this beast smacked me in some slack water just above a small set of rapids, almost pulled me off the bow of the boat

Stuck this unclassified species of peacock bass in Guyana, South America on a sebile magic swimmer in perch colour. 17 lbs 6 oz. Unofficial world record of an unclassified species - all guides and lodge operator agreed they've never seen one this big in 25 years of fishing that river.

I exclusively use sufix 832 50 lbs braid for these giants. And titanium leaders....terminators are my favourite store bought leaders, though I like my own home made ones better - AFW 7 strand titanium

Over the years, I've tried dozens of scales. Always picking a different brand than the last and always I'm left with some dissatisfaction. What's your experience with scales? Best, worst? Pros cons? Thanks SU

Tranx 300 is a beast! I've thrown double dawg pounders on that reel with no problem - muskie bait that weights legit 1 pound with no problems. That reel is bullet proof and is just perfection. 300 holds 150 yards of 50 lbs braid too so can't complain

Hey guys, looking for some insight on what you use for rigging baits like the battles trout and modified hudd rigs. I know a lot of guys use wire leader connections but I'm curious as to which brands and if crimps are being used or a simple haywire twist. Kinda looking for all insight on the use and abuse of titanium and other wire leaders....bass or not. Thanks SU
