I've been throwing the little 4.5" livetarget shad around in some new ponds to get a feel for what's in them. I've caught tons of 1-2.5lb fish. But today finally got my first decent one. First cast to a new area, and thump. Jumped 3 times on the way in as she hit it at the end of my mile long cast. She was spawned out already and the scale only read a sad 4.17. So maybe there are bigger fish to catch with these livetarget swimbaits than what I have seen. Now I'll have to get a 6.5" one as well as my small one I have now.. I do know one thing.. they are fish catching machines.
