Was wondering if anyone owns or has owned this one. Any info on it would be appreciated? It retails for around $1000 but I have the opportunity to get one at half price. I'm told it has both transducers. From some research there was a couple options to choose the transducer and I also saw that this model was discontinued. And also I read people complaining about bad customer service from lowrance. Just wanna see if there's any truth to that. This will be used on my kayak if I pull the trigger. TIA

Which trick shad? That's a pretty soft rod, but imo should be ok up to 3 oz max, if u must. But 1 to 2 oz treble hook baits would be more ideal. I wouldn't use it for anything over 3 oz. Just my 2 cents The monthly tournaments, look for the post in the SUB section, u gotta comment "in" before the tournament starts. Read the rules on first page. You have one week to catch and enter fish via pictures or video Welcome and good luck

Welcome to any hobby really. There's only one remedy if a baitmaker has highly sought after baits where they hate flippers making money off their stuff. Flood the market as best u can. The more baits are out there, the more it drives down the prices.

Yep I missed it. Thank u for the opportunity bro In -
I believe I watched a video on it. He said it won't swim right at slow speeds. It's meant to be fished faster.

With a dobyns 806 you're not gonna wanna throw more than 4 oz. Anything more than that and you risk snapping off a bait or hookup being affected 2 to 3 oz is the sweet spot for that rod imo

It's modified. See post above

I don't have the video, but it's really simple to do. U gotta cut the vtail into 2 pcs and reconnect them using 2 twist lock screws with the centering pins Necessary? No. But it adds a little something different.

It's a regular v tail that'sbeen modified. It's rigged in a way where the tail swings freely Not my idea, let me find the video and I'll share it.....

I learned that I been sleeping on glides all this time. I had the least confidence in glides for years and last year they ended up being my best producers

Along with what mossyback suggested I'd also recommend nez rat, micro mink, bull rat, stray rocker rat Proven rats and u can find them on the after market for below retail. Micro mink was my first rat and caught me my first rat fish
