  1. Yeah, it was based off the toothpick mod.
  2. Man even hurt buying them for 250 the first time they released.
  3. You can shove a toothpick in and break it off like you would pegging a weight
  4. Might be a long shot. But any swimbaiters out there that live in Sydney, Australia?
  5. I think this is just pricing for the outdoor pro shop color.
  6. Wow looks like they’re still in stock.
  7. Yeah really cool place and a huge lake. A Lot of pressure though.
  8. The first photo is an ayu. Second is a washed out phot of a hasu. Third is a moroko, which is kinda like threadfin shad. The video is a school of ayu pinned down in the shallows by hasu. B2FDC943-DDE7-448D-9210-C6203C0568FB.MP4
  9. Naw not really from my 2 week experience there. But who know maybe I just didn’t see any. One thing that’s nice about Lake Biwa is a lot of it is accessible. Not only is there urban landscape that makes it easy to fish, there’s also beeches that form at the mouths of a collection of streams. Ayu collect in the stream and at the mouth of the streams. A species called hasu will pin the Ayu against the shore. Bass in turn will pin the hasu and ayu against the shore. Similar to trout, it is believed that big bass get large by feeding on hasu.
  10. Yeah as chefchris said has to do with costs and space. It’s also a bit of a thing too. Catching a fish from shore is considered more of a challenge. There’s an entire shore fishing guide for Lake Biwa. Equipment is also different because of shore fishing. A lot use boga grips instead of nets because it’s a pain to carry. As well as have rod rocks on the ceiling of relatively small cars.

    Looks like 316 1up!
  13. For the K9 they are owner ST36 1/0. For the TK it’s Owner ST35 #1. Those are the stock hooks at least. I have put #2 on the back hook of the TK but felt like I was losing fish that I got only on the back treble. Ryugi Brutal 1/0 are popular replacements for the K9. If you can find them.
  14. I believe the K9 actually comes with st36 1/0s. Although a lot of people in japan are using longer shank hooks for the glide mode so when the bait is twitched the hooks will swing further from center and it will flare more. Specifically, the ryugi brutal. It’s kinda hard to get in the US though.
  15. I like a MH Phenix M1 and conquest 201. 20lb or 17lb depending on cover and depths I’m trying to fish.
  16. If you have a tiny klash, wide lip, and a vtail, fisher the wide lip backwards and keep the rod tip high slow roll over the top of the weeds.
  17. I punch Lafayette with a zillion type r and a compile x. It’s not the thickest weeds out there so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. At least there are no hyacinths or pennywort like the delta.
  18. Just got back from the delta! Got a tiny one. Boater has a 6 and a 4 though.
  19. @The captain I’m moving to Australia in July and am definitely going to fish for Murrays. Do you feel like like 30 lb can survive the abrasions from their teeth? From what I understand it’s way worse than largemouth teeth.
  20. Good luck man! I'm headed out Sunday.
  21. What does everyone use for connection to the hinkle trout? I’ve tried a few different snaps and split rings but have not been fully satisfied with any of them because they all seem to rub against the top lip. The only exception is the baksyn snap. However the wire diameter worries.
  22. Good luck! Some giants in there.
  23. Sick! We have to meet up some time soon! Maybe mid Feb?
