Jared is a stand up dude to deal with. Got a hard to find bait from him and He went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Do not hesitate to do business with him. You won’t find a better person to deal with on SU.
  8. Got a bullshooter from Henry. Paid on Friday night late, and I got the bait on Monday morning. Can’t beat that. Packaged well and in great condition. A+ dude right here
  9. Dang you put a hurtin on em with that thing bro! Nice
  10. I have the gen1 leviathan, so I can’t speak towards the new model. I feel like 2-5 oz max is pretty accurate as bassman86 said. I couldn’t imagine throwing a 250 on the model I have would be all that enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong I love the rod but mostly throw Hudd 68, osprey talons, 7” slammers, that size stuff... I will mention I have a few Gen 2 Orochi models for conventional tackle, EMTF & perfect pitch, great rods but to me the handle grip is a little too skinny for my liking. Seems that the gen 1 has thicker grip which I certainly prefer for swimbait rods. I am not sure if the grip on the gen 2 leviathan is also thinner like the other models in the orochi line up. Haven’t seen one in person so I thought it was worth mentioning.

  14. I recommend you try the Hudd 68 also. I’m in NC about an hour from sc border. Just a little story that may give you some confidence, I have a 2 acre pond behind my house I got permission to fish early this past spring. I fished it with all the normal pond baits probably 6 to 8 times since then. Drop shot plastics, jigs , chatterbaits ....all of it, I never had a bite or even saw a bass near the edges, heck hardly even saw bluegill there in the summer. 2 weeks ago I decided I’m gonna throw a 8” rof12 Huddleston out there just to see. Second cast I stuck a really nice bass. Unfortunately she did come undone right at the bank. A few days later I tried a Hudd 68 perch color and caught a 6 lb, and yesterday evening throwing trout color 68 caught another around 5 lbs. Just kinda funny because I would have swore there were no bass in this pond. I know for sure there are no trout anywhere around here. the moral of my long story is if there is bass in your ponds of any decent size they will eat an 8” Hudd and easily inhale the 68. To me the 68 just seems to have drawing power with that big thumping tail. I’ve fished some of the first gen savage trouts. To me they are no comparison to a Hudd. Just my 2 cents.
  15. Definitely agree with bassman on the Dobyns 867 suggestion. Great treble hook bait rod, really throws and fishes them well.
  16. Well I ended up picking up the dobyns 867, got it in the mail today. Really like how it feels so far after just a few casts in the pond out back. Appreciate steering me in the right direction fellas
  17. Ok thanks for the help. Yea I was looking at the 867 as well.
  18. I’m new here to this site, been on bbc boards for a few years under the same name. I have searched quite a bit online and on here about the capabilities of Phenix ultra swimbait classic 8’ Heavy rod. I haven’t found specific info as to what this rod will do. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how well this rod would handle deps 250. It’s rated to 8 oz, but the little info I have found, some guys say it would throw that easily( forgot where I read that though). I already have a megabass orochi leviathan and Daiwa DX X-heavy but they both feel over stressed with a 7 oz bait. I appreciate any info and help.
