Well, I lost a 5+ at the bank on the Benkei BIC-68BB. I think a lack of give in the tip to absorb a last gasp dash the fish gives might have contributed. I will have to keep trying it, but we will see.

I hate baits sitting around not in the rotation. Here's a couple for sale. I've got a special bait here. It's a 1 of 4 Swimbait Garage 3 piece Hyper Gill crank down. He only made 4, so I don't know what to ask for it. I don't throw it and don't want to have it sitting here collecting dust. It swims MINT, dives to about 2 to 3 feet on 22lb Defier and almost suspends in low 50 degree water. PM offers. I've got a brand new Hyper Shad $100 tyd.

The Beast is my favorite platform in this size range. The 40 is a great size and holds plenty of line.

I just received a Bugle Lips and am unsure what size hooks are on it. They look like ST-56, but I'm unsure if they're a 1, 2 or maybe a 1/0. The 56 is too stout a hook for my taste and I'm going to order more Strike hooks from the Underground Shop and don't know which hooks and rings I should slap on it. Any input? Also, same question for all of @Ceaser baits, Wade, Wad3, WnC, Juke, etc.

Drt Joker and the best lip replacements for walking the bait?
Drew03cmc replied to Trevor Stellps's topic in The Underground
I haven't thrown mine yet, but I'm curious if the lip just pulls straight out as it doesn't have the side to side ability to pop out like on the TK and K9. -
Not the most popular opinion, but for me, I absolutely love my Revo Beast!

That is definitely possible.

It might have to do with risk vs reward. If they throw a cranking Gill like a Snapper or Pizz that's 5" long, it may still attract the 2lb fish they aren't targeting, whereas, a 7 to 9" glide might isolate the larger bite as well as, and this is probably the reason, it's more visible on FFS.

Practice in clear water so you can watch. Sharp rod twitches or sharp reel bumps with line that doesn't stretch much. You'll see the head section moving back and forth flashing and attracting fish. At a distance, with mono, rod twitches work better for me.
