  1. It's probably the best overall glide. Also heavily underrated by most northern anglers for some reason. On my main lake it gets bit more consistently than pretty much any other bait during trout season. My only complaint with the bait is fish tend to throw it easily.
  2. Post front in my experience is not good for overall fishing but those are days where I get one giant bite. Typically I have to fish very slowly. Here are two I caught on cold, bluebird windy days.
  3. Joker traded, k9 still available for sale/trades
  4. Found them hunting trout in open water. This made them pretty difficult to target and reliant on just being in the right place at the right time. Got one working a citizen 7 with an erratic jigging action and two on the Deps 250. Biggest went 6-0, judging by the size of some of the explosions there were much bigger ones in the mix.
  5. ROF5, sank it down 3’ and slowly retrieved it at that depth.
  6. You can make the bait more level by adding weight to the front. You can do this with lead tape, lead weight, doubled split rings, heavier hooks etc. If you want to maintain the sink rate you can slide the skin off and shave away some of the weight from the belly. I had one that I unfortunately lost which I tuned for cold water to almost suspend on long pauses. 1g of lead tape in the bill slot, about 4g of lead removed from the belly. Ease of customization is one of the best things about 250s.
  7. K9 has rash but no cracks/leaks, couple spare parts thrown in - 110 Joker tule perch with one eye replaced - 60 Trades - Deps 250 in trout/flash carp, citizens/battleshads, Zfg trout in trout patterns
  8. Huge congrats on a fish of a lifetime!
  9. Yeah can’t argue with the results. And same here, I’ve gone through 7 and this is my first fish.
  10. I had more than 100 hours invested into hudd fishing without a single fish. Well today, it finally happened. If I hadn’t lost my Deps 250 earlier I never would have tied it on. I made a long cast over a prime spot and was retrieving at a slow pace. Near the end of the cast I was watching it swim just 3’ under the surface when this beast came up and gulped it. Feels amazing to finally break into the 8s after all these years of grinding.
  11. Been chasing this pattern for a month or so now, yesterday I finally hit it right and stuck the first fish of the year on a Deps 250. Fish was 19.5” and weighed 5.5lbs with fresh trout in its gullet.
