**PLEASE READ EVERYTHING** $120 TYD For sale is a Daiwa Tatula 200 LH retrieve. Purchased a couple years ago.. barely used. Like many Tatulas, this reel has a noise when casting at a decent velocity. Mechanically, the reel doesn’t have any issues. Works perfectly. I wanted to be transparent regarding the sound when casting so you know what you’re getting.

I’ve caught them all of those situations. Not a lot around wood because I’d like to keep them. But I will fish it close and impart the jerkbait technique the other guys discussed. Unfortunately, the answer is always gonna be let the fish tell you what they want.

@captainhookset can chime in about the Expride. I have the tatula 7’3”. IMO it’s a great rod for 2.5oz treble hook baits and under. Casts a TK a mile. Sensitive. Great bang for buck. No experience with jig hook/single hook baits. Might work with an exposed hook bait but I think it would be challenging to blast through a chunk of soft plastic with a book set and keep the fish pinned.

Antidotes tend to nose up regardless of your set up. That’s a tough bait to keep down. You might just grab a different glide and have zero issues. Just my 2 cents. Grab a Storm Arashi glide. Heavier/quicker sink. Cheap. Catches fish. -
