I would assume them not eating the head of the bait is an isolated behavior but I think moving the back hook hanger back was a good idea.

I’ve seen videos of a guy rigging a 10 inch mag draft with a decoy quad on the belly. He still used it as a bottom bouncing bait because of the way he positioned the hook.

How is the hook up ratio.

I’m curious to when you guys throw glide baits and when you through soft baits that sit higher in the water column. (Baits like a mag draft) What are some conditions that let you know? I’ve had luck with glides and bottom bouncing baits but would like to refine my big bait fishing this year, and think this will help. Thank you, Luke H

Been making this little glide for a week or so. about 5 inches with out a tail

I use a curved knife and press into the wood.

So I’ve been building this glide bait and I hit a road block. I have all the Gill carvings on one side but I can’t seem to transfers over the pattern onto the other side. just curious if any one has any certain techniques .

I use pine poplar and balsa (I generally use poplar for swim baits) I get it at my local Home Depot

There’s mag draft freestyles which come in tiger with a belly slots that you put a weighted beast hook in.
