Also mono is a good starter line because it’s cheap and is fairly easy to backlashes. Though that will help because it will teach you to use your thumb on the spool.That’s what I did then after I learned how to thumb I branched to other lines. -
I finally caught a fish on the meathead.It was about 2 pounds.And special thanks to @Bmurr7 for gifting me this bait!

So I am planing on making an a-rig mold and using some resin .The resin I have used before had no bubbles when mixing but when demolded there are bubbles everywhere.Any help how to fix this.Thanks.

JJ’s has a clear version which I assume could be painted on to give scent and would not mess with paint.

I was wondering if anyone here has made a bait out of silicone . I have been seeing baits made out of it but don’t know how to do. If I could figure it out I was thinking of try to make a “soft bait”. Thanks for any info.

Hey Su I just finished my first rat with five more ready to be cut out. I made it out of 1 1/8in dowel. Would love to hear you thoughts.

They SU I have been using bullet weights to weight my lures.I have really been noticing it is inefficient and I run out of space to but weight. Any suggestions on another way to do this more effectively but not to much more expensive? Thanks SU.

I you harbor freight lock wire.That is the stuff marlin uses.I comes in a blue case and is 1 pound,it will last you a long time. Hope this helps.

I would prefer a balanced rod because if you have an unbalanced rod then add a bait to the end of the rod it’s going to be overly unbalenced. Just my .02

Does anyone have any recommendations for a reel faster then the Cardiff which brings in 24 in per turn.for under 130 if possible? Thanks for the help

I don’t know anything about the bait but if you would like to add weight to a hook so you can run a smaller hook.

I just use a classic 99 and a snap off blade.I cut the outlines of details/scales with the 99 and cut behind with the snap off.Though you could use just the 99. I just preference.Hope that helps.
