    My bait selection is pretty limited as of right now. I throw citizen 6/7, have a couple of TK, a chad shad and a wade hoggs.

    Question about lure rating…I only had 1 swimbait rod before and that was a megabass tequila baccarac which is rated for 3/4-4 oz. My friend gifted me a st croix bass x xxh which is rated for 4-8oz. I don’t have much in that range as of yet besides for a toxic baits wade hoggs. Wonder if anyone had any thoughts about using the bass x 4-8oz rod for lures around the 2.3-4oz range. Or should I try to get rid of this rod and get something rated up to 6oz?

    Yep! I threw a citizen and a tiny klash almost exclusively for one day in a tournament for 9 hours and my shoulders were definitely feeling it. I know I’m not in that 4 oz weight class but it still hurt. I stood for probably 30% of the time too. I fish out of a native slayer 10 propel with a terrova strapped on to it. Easy to stand on, and lots of weight capacity.

    I’ve lost a couple citizens to pike. Only other swim bait I had was a Tiny Klash. Two weeks ago I bought a kgb crappie off a member on here, and got to cast it 12 times. On the last cast I felt a thump and I set the hook, felt one head shake and it was gone. I had remorse for about 10 minutes, but I was dreading telling my friends that don’t appreciate expensive things that a pike broke me off lol.

    Sounds good! I had a kfb crappie for all about 1 fishing session. 13 casts in a northern broke me off lol.

    Hey would you be interested in just selling the kgb crappie? Don’t have much for trade besides a TK joythief but that’s a little bit of a price difference.

    I use the tequila baccarac and it’s 7’0. Suits me really well for kayak fishing and bank fishing where there isn’t alot of casting room. Ive been throwing bigger single hook soft baits like the citizen 6.

    Have you thought about mounting some of those hobie horizontal rod tip protectors? The first rod I used was this beast of a rod. I think it was a 7-10 Abu garcia. My arms would feel like they were going to fall off after 4-5 hours. Having a light/short rod has been great for arm fatigue. I ended up trading one of my casting rods that I wasn't using for a P5 Tequila Baccarac. I only have been throwing a TK and 6 inch Citizens though.
