  1. Very nice fish man. I noticed you were using a magdraft. Were you using it shallow near the surface, or were you allowing it to sink? Walleyes do take swimbaits off the surface, but more often they take them somewhat below it. Happy you were able to get on the water so late. My boat was getting repaired so I missed out on some TOTW. Great job man. And I agree with you, Walleyes on swimbaits is just so much fun. Most oldtimers would sniff at this new approach, but I for one am fully on board changing things up. Both Doug Stange and Gord Pyzer have advocated for big 5-6" swimbaits (paddeltails) and I decided to use this method exclusively for the last two years. So keep it up man.
