  1. Check out the DRT USA website, the site is back up and they have stock
  2. As ishy as it will be for new members, beware of the new accounts also. I looked a little deeper and seems like this guy was doing his homework…a little. He made responses to other’s posts on different threads about reels etc. personally I’m newer to the forum and mostly I watch the black market so you won’t find many posts from me (bc I’ve yet to catch a large fish on a swimbait lol). But I found it important to at least buy from good members here to get some trader feedback going, and prove I’m not out to scam folks. I’ve only made one sale to BBT actually, but I know my schedule is crazy and have a difficult time committing to getting baits in the mail so I don’t usually offer to sell. But you’re absolutely right in saying the scam rate has really increased recently. Maybe as a community we can enforce new rules….a minimum amount of purchases needed before you can sell….hold the baits while you’re verified by other members…something of that nature. IMO legitimate sellers will have a bit of patience to ensure a good deal. Also as it’s been said many times….if someone insists on F&F only…pass on the deal! There may be legitimate sellers who are good folks that prefer this method but we really gotta give effort to separate the wheat from the chaff. lastly….BBT …if you want something from TD4 I’ll cover you -Shawn
  3. Hopefully this won’t deter everyone from someone legitimately trying to help someone out. I’m the kind of dude who’d do something like this….and have recently offered this kind of deal to a member for a K9 phantom from my local bait shop. Granted by the time I went back they’d sold out but it was a sincere offer. I’m sure I won’t be the only one to extend this kind of offer and yeah…it’d raise some flags. But FWIW I enjoy perpetuating some good in this world in ways that I can…and I’d rather someone view me as strange or possibly even an idiot than be viewed as a potential thief. Hopefully you’ll eventually find those Hinkles and Justin gets his K9 shipped. One thing I do know is that I have a K9 joy thief he’s welcome to use the next time he gets enough sleep (inside joke)
  4. Friday bump, someone’s gotta have something out there
  5. Looking to buy a BB tuned 250 , OG or new. Not terribly picky on the color, I just need to witness the difference in the action to see if I’m missing out on something. I’d like to keep it south of $200 if possible. thanks SU Shawn
  6. I’m also interested in feedback on this. I’ve only thrown it on 1 lake and have had some follows , even the same fish coming back 3-4 times but no commitment. My hinges squeaked so I’ve oiled them since but I’ll be honest I’m a bit afraid to throw it near cover since the bait costs so much. Im stuck on shore so I’m much less trusting throwing it deep or near structure which is where I think it needs to be. Im in California (Bay Area) as well and I can attest this has been a very different year all over the state from the ocean to inland waters…maybe this is a factor also. I’ve also struggled to get bit on the s-wavers, Deps 250 and big baits in general.
  7. Sorry to hear that bud, hopefully the trend doesn’t continue. You’re a solid seller!
  8. They have the worm and chunk paint. If one chooses to go down the rabbit hole, the spike-it/lure works site has a nice selection of water base colors for soft plastics but I’d recommend an airbrush to get the really cool effects. It’s like when I started tying flies…started off as a way to customize my own stuff and it became an obsession
  9. Check out garretcustoms on IG, that guy has some talent for trout patterns. I’m searching for an artist that will do soft baits in carp patterns.
  10. Like JZ stated, it seems to have multiple qualities it does well. Going to have mine custom painted and I believe it’ll really do some damage. I really like the fact that it’s a soft bait that walks and burns very well. Haven’t thrown it a ton yet but I’m confident I’ll get some second chances on missed strikes for that reason, especially from stripers!
  11. Great start to the work day, nice job!
  12. I’ll throw my (I’m also a new guy to swimbaiting 2 cents ) into the ring. I’ve been on the fence about copolymers , braid to Fluoro and straight fluoro. Each response has its value here and what I draw is that it comes down to what you find works for what you like. I’ve used the fc100 so far no failures when connected to power pro. One main thing I like about power pro vs suffix or J-braid is that it seems to pick up less water which really matters when I’m bombing casts on a cold morning bc it keeps my hands drier. Straight fluoro will probably help you track the bait a little better if you work your baits like butch brown and keep the rod tip high with a bow in the line. It also is less likely to wrap the rod tip when the tip makes a weird bounce like braid often does. For hudds, paddle tails and spoons I’d go with braid since the strength to diameter is unmatched ..finer diameter gets you deep quicker in current. I’ve only used izorline trolling for salmon but I can say I do like it’s strength and knotability. Doesn’t seem to hold as much memory as standard mono.
  13. Really awesome process and bait! Thanks for sharing !
