  1. Thank you! Yeah if you’re fishing a lot of weeds it’s a game changer
  2. I’ve been cracking them on the misfit, love that color kind of looks like a baby bass in the water
  3. After many many tough trips I was able to get on a nice weedless swimbait bite. When I saw the misfit color way drop for the citizen I knew that it had potential to get bit on the water that I fish. During the summer time I made sure to try it if the situation presented itself. And even though I would draw out some of the biggest fish I’d ever seen I could NOT get them to commit. Well my boat takes a crap on me in the fall but one of my bank spots has a swimbait bite that turns on in the winter time. The first time I went I got there when the sun was coming up and it was probably 41degrees, I cast a few times and I’m making sure to wait til the bait hits the bottom then reel in just fast enough to where the tail is kicking but it is still bouncing off of the bottom. Well eventually I get CRACKED and hard! But it totally caught me off guard, I set late and not very hard but I’m fighting the fish and he’s not far off of shore. I pull the fish up on its side and he gives me one good roll and my bait came flying back at me. I was HOT but I was also super excited because that was my first real bite on that thing. So I decided to let that area breathe for a while and walk to another spot on the bank. Second cast at this spot and the same thing happens! That’s when I realized that I’m hittin these things like I skipped breakfast lol I thought back to those videos of Keith crackin them fish hard so I told myself the next time I get bit I’m giving them the bad news. Low and behold I ended up getting a solid 3 lber and some smaller ones that day on the citizen and some smaller weedless baits. In the next couple trips to this spot I was getting consistent good sized fish and eventually broke my pb with a 5.84lber. I know that’s not the biggest fish but my last pb was a 5.01lber in 2015 on a senko and I don’t take anything away from that one, that’s all I knew back then, but I really wanted to prove to myself that I’m learning and all this time, money and effort pays off. That day was crazy too because it was 31 degrees and the fog was so thick you couldnt see 50ft in front of you. I got the bass and a 7lb striper at sunrise and the bite died the rest of the time I was there. When ppl say slow down and then slow down some more they are not lying.
