I think it's like most baits, getting confidence and enjoying the process. Once your over the idea of not catching on said bait you begin to fish it with more purpose and then leading to more bites. Thanks.

All I can say (sorry, not really helpful) is that I own 3 Leviathan rods and they are really nice. I throw all sorts of baits on my Omega heavy and it pretty much does it all. Jerk bait 22 is 100% with not going over 5oz on the Heavy. I have the Xtra Heavy but haven't used it a ton. I throw the TK on my Omega heavy all the time and its great. Where the Omega really shines is with jig hooks imo. Buying rods is tough though.....Ive made some mistakes in the past but there's nowhere to demo rods(that I know of). Sometimes just jumping in is your best bet to see what YOU like. Leviathan rods aren't cheap but I'm not sure you can go wrong with one.

She weighed in at 6.31 pounds....honestly thought she was bigger (probably cuz i havnt caught anything in a while). Finally I have some confidence in throwing soft plastics, for the longest time I just couldn't get anything done with one and it bothered me because i didn't want to throw them. I dont know about the rest of the guys here but for me personally soft baits has proven quite difficult to be successful with. With one under my belt I'm looking forward to the challenge....like my buddy Jamie says, "more often than not, a fish on the end of a soft bait is probably pretty big." Btw Im somewhat new here but you and bassbass are always giving props to folks and thats pretty cool.

Its been brutal. Late nights after work, 15 or so skunks in a row and snapping off some nice baits......first world problems. I got my first soft plastic fish and it was a pretty decent one.

Great color on that fish, nice work.
