Got the clear coat on. The swim vids are ok, I’m going to try to get some better ones later. copy_408E71AB-C922-4234-869E-5EC20D383F16.mov

Got the paint laid down! I think it looks pretty good. It’s not perfect but neither is any carp I’ve seen. Last thing to do is put some clear coat on!

Nebraska has carp in about every lake. And besides Pizz I don’t see to many carp glides out there. So I carved my own. She looks good so far. I test swam it the other day and it worked good. I’ll update with videos when completely finished. Anyways here’s what I have started. It weights 4.4 oz, and is 9 inches long.

I have the Garmin Echomap hd 93 sv they’re on sale if you can find one, Garmin is switching to Echomap hd2 93sv. I love the touchscreen on the unit. With some time on the water side view works great too. Just make sure you learn about transducer frequency. Here is a pike suspended on the side scan. The little white spots were bass. 20OCT23_1357_00.bmp -

I caught three sevens on fork yesterday on a 8” rising sun. I was with a guide so I didn’t know if they’d count so I didn’t take pics of scale, bait, or length. Here is one of them I caught (right) with my dad’s 6 pounder. Found them blowing shad up out of the water on a point. -

Thanks, the smaller one definitely will be better for more bites. Midway through the build I thought it was too small so I made a bigger one, the bigger one seems a bit louder, so I thought it could be better for at night.

Just finished up my first two rats. They were carved from bass wood no power tools besides dremel! Unfortunately the water just froze here in Nebraska so I only got a swim vid from the bathtub. I was very pleased with the action and clack of them. Especially because I’m 15 and don’t have the money to drop on other expensive rats. I airbrushed each by hand. Small size illude tail on smaller one and big size on bigger. The smaller one is 10.5” and 2.4 oz The big one is 12.5 and 6.4 oz Hopefully my next post is a giant LMB caught on one of these guys!
