  1. Hey Gang, been a bit since I posted anything so I hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Over the fall semester I got hit by a car on my skateboard and broke my wrist. Was too busy getting boned by BU that I never had time to see why the hell it hurt so much(yeah I’m dumb). You try getting an X-ray while studying for weekly BIO-Chem tests. Hurts like hell but now I have to get surgery on it, so to cheer myself up I’ve decided to delve into the market for a new DC reel. Why DC?… because I like the sounds and have the casting ability of your one friend that borrows your baitcaster for one second only to get a birds nest the size of a Peyton mannings forehead. Anyway if I’m to spend a fortune on a reel I’d like it to be a good one. I plan on using it for both the salt and freshwater although mostly freshwater. Folks got a place up in Maine on the water so I’d like to try my luck at stripers or just mackerel. I’ve been looking at the Excense 17 a bit. Looks purrrdy but again would love to know if anyone has had any first hand experience. Also it has clicking drag which I like because reel go zzzzzzz. Anyway this post is a bit all over the place kinda just want to stop focusing on the fact I’m gonna have a nail in my wrist. Hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to hearing back. -Ben
