  1. Was fortunate enough to pick up a Wood Acid rat and I wanted to compare it to its resin counterpart. At 1.8 oz the illude wood acid is .8 oz lighter than the resin rat. I noticed after testing that the wood rat sits much higher out of the water- allowing it (imo) wake much better than the resin acid. Action: The Wood rat is much louder and can be burned without it diving sub surface more than an inch or so. Definitely more of a standard “waking” rat Resin Acid is fairly “stealthy”. it wakes on a very slow wind but dives sub- surface on a medium retrieve. More of “swimming” or “cranking” rat. Both are great baits, look similar, but are different tools in the box. If you want stealth go resin but if you want that CLACK wood is the move.
