Ceaser Posted July 17, 2013 Report Share Posted July 17, 2013 The 300 is a great reel for swimbaiting as are the 253's. I have a few more lurking not in the pic, but you cant go wrong. I like the 253's for baits up to 5-6ozs now since I switched to Pline Pf and can cram a ton of 25lb on them since its a thin line. 300's will toss baits down to 2.5 3ozs tho, just not ideal. I dont think the 300 is tooo wide in the hand, I palm mine and I dont have huge hands. They reel is mostly wider on the handle side because of the gear box, the other side is pretty trim. 253 or 300 is hard to beat, really sweet reels that have held up incredibley well. The two tones reels are the Millionaire CV-Zs, the reels the lunas were based on. These reels are killer and the luna is better! THe 253 luna has a really cool mag cast control feature and the 300 uses a different brake system, but i love them both... as you can tell Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
