AkimbaLL704 Posted July 28, 2022 Report Share Posted July 28, 2022 I wasn’t planning on going fishing today but I was in a good area and had some errands to run, so I figured I have time to kill let’s stop at one of the hidden ponds. Caught a few dinks and as I was about to leave I saw a nice patch of Lillie’s out in the middle of the pond. I took the cast and cranked down my bait, then watched as this big girl came up and destroyed it! This is my 3rd time this year breaking my PB! The best part about this is that it was caught on my own handmade bait! It was the most rewarding feeling ever! Big girl came in at 6lbs 5oz! BassYakin Posted July 28, 2022 Report Share Posted July 28, 2022 Awesome catch. Really cool to catch your PB on a homemade lure. Nice placement on the cast too, risking a snag definitely paid off. One of my favorite things about fishing homemade lures is if you snag it you are not out $150+ bucks, and you can make an improved replacement that is probably better than the original!
