evilcatfish
Nice Muskie for sure! Were you using any kind of leader? I'd be nervous in toothy critter waters without one, especially using an expensive bait

I'd be nervous in toothy critter waters without one, especially using an expensive bait was really unprepared and really brave that day. no leader, straight mono. from afar i saw where the fish was hooked, so i felt safe muscling the fish in. getting the fish into the boat was another ordeal. i despise nets! Mnbassbuster002
Nice man! If you're gonna target them from a boat, might want to look into a musky cradle. You'll save yourself some headaches. Or a net that you can pick up a small cow in if you do a lot if solo fishing. I have both and prefer the net. Its just easier. I posted yesterday on someones thread about a buddy of mine poking off a low 50" range fish that would have beat my pb by at least 3". If you plan on getting into the toothy critters more definitely get a net of some sorts. Beckman and frabil make really nice nets but they are easily over 100 bucks. Worth it though if you plan on trageting skis more. Oh yeah almost forgot the most important part. Nice fish!!! Congrats!!! Jeremy
