scurdy Posted December 27, 2022 Report Share Posted December 27, 2022 (edited) Been getting a good amount of interest from friends/ family in the baits I’ve been building, so I decided to make a batch for everyone as a Christmas present. None of these people have rods rated to throw large baits, so I tried to design one that would come in around an ounce and be tossed on conventional gear. Made a couple without hooks to be tree ornaments for those who don’t fish. Here’s some pics of the journey, along with a swim video of the prototype to demonstrate the action. I forgot to record a finished bait in the water. The prototype floated without paint and clear, but the finished ones are slow sink. I like how you converted some into ornaments, and the paint looks great! I don't have any gear for big baits, so I'm often working on smaller projects.
