I'm not the boss, but I'd be fine with an already made bait. I'm making a fresh one mostly because I don't have much in the inventory...
-
Water tested, sealed, and ready for paint as well.

That's a lot of lead!

Good point! Getting close to water time... I've got several in various states of completion. Fall-back is a mouse or rat wake bait, but I'm close on some shads, bass, bluegill, and others. I like to work on as many projects as possible to keep things simple, streamlined, and organized.

Love the ambition!

I'm just getting into swimbait fishing. At this point all my baits are homemade. It never ceases to amaze me how often small fish will hit big lures. This rat/mouse is about 8 in counting the tail (and im aware its pretty small by big-bait standards). What are some of the craziest little fish on big baits you guys have caught?

Always fun to whack a good bass from shore. Great fish!

Sweet looking pickerel(?)/pike. What a cool pattern!

Those are some seriously fat bass! Great work.

Nice baits and nice fish!

Looks great! Really nice paint work.

Definitely looks like a carp! Catch anything with it yet? Growing up small (4-6") carp were my favorite bait for bass and catfish. While they were alive I'd catch both, and once they died I'd keep catching catfish.

I have no clue at this point, but I organized all my "baits in progress" and discovered I have a lot of options! What size/type of baits do you prefer to fish?

Puttin in work!!!

Sometimes simple is best! I had a big bass blow up on a small bait I was testing but hadn't put any paint on yet. Kinda was an inspirational moment...
-
And I'm definitely not "in the know," I just make stuff up and hope it's helpful!

Great looking baits! Are you thinking something like they have at ULine: https://www.uline.com/Cls_04/Boxes-Corrugated?

Great looking bait in a very versatile size! Nice paint work too.

Looks great! Looks like it could swim by itself...

Great looking gill Dan!

Nice bait! Good luck!

"Grass Gill" looks great! Waiting now for "Bass-in-the-Grass," and "Clover Crappie."
