Big Epp Posted December 7, 2023 Author Report Share Posted December 7, 2023 So I had a funny mess up with testing... this rat is about 5" + the tail, and I tried the pin joint. The joint is pinned with a stainless trim nail... which fell out as I cast the lure to test the action! Thankfully I was able to snag it and bring it back in. On top of that, the front half actually swims great as a crankbait! I think the ribbon tail worm creates too much drag though, deadening the action. A little dab of super glue on the end should keep the pin in place for testing purposes…also you can put the entry hole on the top of the bait and not drill all the way through the body.
