Palu_Au
Howzit, What size reel do you fish for your swimbaits, 300 or 400? What brand and model reel do you fish and why? Mahalo, Tony
nadinesmom
depends on the reel, different manufacturers 300s may be lager or smaller than others... i think there's a topic on here where guys are showing off their setups, most of us use the same 4 or 5 rods and reels... there are exceptions but there's definitely a trend. colbypearson
Curado 200's, because I'm an idiot. I actually like 400 sized reels but I sold my TE and B to get something else then never ended up doing so .
vikingbear8
400 calcutta and 300 luna which are the same size
elnicko
Both depending on what size line/bait I'm using. I run 25# CXX on a Calcutta 401 TE for the larger baits and 25# PF on a Calcutta 301D and Pluton HL for the smaller (6'-8") baits. I also like using a Lexa 300 or Curado 301 for fishing Punkers and Freestyles especially in the river for stripers to help keep up with the current. jomama
lexa 300, b/c everyone else is using it! =)
nol
Calcutta 400te for the big stuff and a 200te GT for all the smaller stuff, probably should have a 300 instead of a 200 but the TE GT does hard work.
JohnMarino
300 sized reels. Not going to get spooled on a fish with 30lb pline pf, if I think they are I put braid underneath the mono so that increases my line capacity. Sometimes I do that ocean fishing. Lexa 300, curado 301dsv, Cardiff 300 are to be found on my rods.
fishaholic211
I fished a 300 carado for my smaller, lighter baits. I used a 400 cardif for my larger baits
Bassman88
Lexa 300 and Cardiff 300.

JessRey
I use an old, silver Calcutta 200 for 6"- baits, 2, Lexa 300s for 6-10" baits, and a Calcutta 400 for 10"+ baits. Although, I'm probably gonna replace the Calcutta 400 for a Lexa400 just because I really enjoy the low profile reels.
jcolo4sho
Curado 301 for 6-10" baits
TheGoodCat
i use: Z2020's - but their almost the same size as a Lexa 300 That's good to know. I've been watching the price slowly drop and drop on Tacklewarehouse. I'm just about ready to jump on one if they drop the price on it one more time.
