CG_Fishes
I came home Friday, excited to fish my rivers for the first time since last fall. Temps dropped 20° and we got a bunch of rain as I fished but I just couldn't get bit. I eventually made it to my last spot, and on one of my last casts with the 5" draft I felt that characteristic thump of a Walleye. As if I hit a brike wall, with no fight afterwards. In came this 24" fish, which is my second biggest Walleye to date. Always a treat to catch these fish, I just don't do it enough. Hoping I'll find a 30+ one day but still so much to learn! FishDr
Nice walleye! The Magdraft seems to be a favorite of the big marble eyes. CG_Fishes

Yes the magdraft and its cousins the magslowl and deadslowl seem to be money in my waters. I have caught them on the 5", 6" and 7". No strikes on the 8" yet but I'm sure it's bound to happen with the right fish. I want to try a wedge tail like a real prey for them sometime as well FishDr
