huddslinger
I use a 10 inch tupperware contaner with lid 2 inch paint brush pro cure.Paint swimbait then put lid back on not much mess. Also slides easer in bass mouth better hookup.
wnighswonger
The smell debate has always been a subject I can't form a solid opinion on. Whether we are talking a 8oz swimbait or a finesse worm, I'm just not sure either way. If anything, I do think adding scent is more of a cover-up than an attractant. (I feel the same way about scent related hunting products) I did just recently see a Bill Dance episode in which he mentions scientists have proven bass can't detect human hand sweat (or something along those lines) EDIT: My above statements are in regards to bass, not catfish and certain other species Yes but they can taste the amino acids from our hands and that causes them to hold onto the bait for less time due to taste
banks customs
I hot water rinse any stinky soft swimbaits to get any smell residue/oil off. Then I use a few squirts of PTL Hog Tonic in a Ziploc and soak the bait for few days. Works for me.

CPBassFishing
One squirt of hog tonic stinks up a whole room the bass love it though so I can't complain
Bassindon69
I hope this doesn't get anyones panties in a wad but most of these so called "scents" are either not water soluble (meaning a bass cannot detect them), or their molecular makeup is too large to fit into a bass' chemoreceptors (meaning a bass cannot detect them). There are only a handful out there that COULD actually even work. If nothing else they give people confidence and lube your bait up! See...... It's only good if YOU like it For Lube try KY, I think they lead the way on lube For Confidence? Well you're on your own.
