It’s been a rough 3 weeks- a few bites but 0 fish. I was chopping the K9 in glide mode around a lit fountain at dusk and BAM T BONE! Shy of 5 lbs but for my first K9 fish EVER, I’ll take it!

question: what’s the “proper” way to measure length (on a bass- get your mind out of the gutter)

top lip on the line or bottom lip?

To answer your question, I think the standard rule of thumb is mouth closed,
 tail pinched together.

But, honestly there is no steadfast rules to documenting your fish. It’s your fishing log, you can do it anyway you want.

I appreciate the input man. I had thought that you are supposed to go by the top lip but after I looked at that pic I thought “dang that sure looks silly!”
