I have an extra 250 AYU that I was thinking of changing to Gizzard Shad but was concerned if the paint would work on the soft side surface. I have painted plenty of crankbaits and jerks. Use acrylic paint but clearcoat with automotive. Is that how you did it and is it still somewhat soft, or did you lose all of that feeling once painted?
