urbanhick
Thanks for the pics. I had a big northern follow my Butch Brown Natural trout to the boat a couple weeks ago I guess I'm glad it didn't bite.

gradycodd
The fish bit through 20lb cxx like it was nothing. I'll be tying some heavy leaders for the next trip. That is a tag. Good eye. I have caught a bunch of tagged fish in the area but I'm unaware of any tracking done by the state. 20lb cxx These bastards have cut through 50 lb flouro, I'd be running at least 80-100 lb flouro leaders or just start tying with wire, not worth a muskie head shotting your 250 and cutting it off. Lake Arthur this spring with that exact bait Wayne.

Fishing434
hey wayne, are you saying you don't use steel leaders when going for musky??? I wonder what the leaders would do to the 250 action?
Fishing434
and yes AMAZING catch!
SPEEDBEAD
I've stared tying my own short 100lb fluoro leaders after I had a fish nick the line and next cast I sent a 250 flying into the river (retrieved). I don't like commercially available ones, too much hardware on them.
